  3. Use the WEEKLY BIG 3 section to review your weekly goals and make sure they’re still aligned

Why This Recipe works

In a 2015 letter to shareholders, Jeff Bezos identifies two types of decisions 1) irreversible decisions and 2) reversible decisions.

The first type are the pivotal decisions in which you are required to make the right choices. These are the kinds of decisons that consume the most time and attention, and require you to be in your optimal mindset.

The second are the ones where you can consistently improve and update. These are the decisions you should make quickly, and if possible, batch together.

What we learn from Bezos is that we often spend too much of our time on tasks and decisons that should be done quickly. The key to effective leadership and time management is in the art of decision-making, in understanding the types of decisions we need to make each day.

Your turn! This week, spend your time on high quality decisions. Think of your goals as decisions rather than tasks.
